a session usually runs for an hour, rate is $135.00 per hour plus 5% GST

Extended Health Care Insurance or employee/family assistance programs pay partial or total coverage for counselling/psychotherapy/Marriage & Family Therapy services.

Insurance coverage for Marriage and Family Therapist : Manulife; Great West Life; Green Shield Canada; Pacific Blue Cross.
You may want to check with your insurance policy if they include psychological service provided by psychotherapist/counsellor. If they are not, I would encourage you to ask your company, Human Resources to negotiate with the insurance company adding psychological service provided by psychotherapist/counsellor.

Psychotherapists/counsellors are qualified to provide psychotherapy service such as mental health treatment. Many psychotherapists/counsellors have completed formal education, a Master's degree and extensive training in various modalities of psychotherapy.
